I read a book called Tuck Everlasting. There is a girl named Winnie, she hates her life at her house. She is very wealthy and her parents own the woods. Her parents make her do "lady like" things and she hates it. She one day ran into the woods and she met the Tuck Family and they had a secret. They drank from a well in the woods and they became immortal. Winnies family was going to tear the woods down to make money off the bark. She did not want that to happen, so she did not return back home. She fell in love with the boy and she wanted to drink from the well but the boy would not let her. He said the life of being immortal was not a life he wanted to live. He said to drink the water when she was sixteen so they could be be young forever. There was a man called the man in the yellow hat. He was trying his best to expose the Tucks for who they were. The boy tells winnie to leave the forest. She goes back home and then the boys brother gets arrested so she and the Tucks go and break him out. The boy gave winnie a bottle of water from the well to drink when she was 16 but she never drank it and the book ended. This was probably one of the best books I have ever read. I would definitely recommend this book to another student or even teacher. I give this book a nine out of ten.

I read a book called "Candor" it was an extremely interesting book. I will briefly explain it to you. Candor is a town where the citizens are hypnotized by the music that is constantly playing throughout the city. The mayor of the city has a son, Oscar. He is the only one who does not get controlled by the music. He makes his own music that contradicts the Candor messages. He has made a a business out of this. He is selling his services to other candor kids. He lets other kids escape Candor for a price. Oscar is a well behaved kid and does not break any rules. He meets a girl when she moves into candor he really likes her but he does not want her to get hypnotized. He has to maintain a relationship and has to make sure the music does not hypnotize them. Oscar at the end of the book gets his memory erased and the girl escapes the town. I personally was very intrigued by this book, the author used such fluency and the structure of the novel was very professional. The purpose of this was that you should always think for yourself and not get involved with bad people. He also mentions you should take risks even if its for another person. The pattern in this book was chronological events that went according throughout the novel. The novel was very shocking and surprising at moments. Overall this was such a good book, I would definitely recommend another student or even teacher to read this amazing novel.

"A
Farewell to Arms" by Earnest Hemingway. I am reading this boom in my
Honors English class right now. This is an Exciting book about a war veteran
who was commander during world war one. The first chapter is about him
describing his Italian house in Italy where he was born. He goes into great
detail about his childhood. In the next chapter he speaks about the time he was
on a world war one boat, he had his leg blown off by an explosion on the water.
That’s where the story actually begins. After the explosion he is transported
to a hospital. He meets a girl at the hospital. He immediately falls in
love with her, he name was Catherine. They went on many secret dates. The dates
were secret because she could not be seen with him. Catherine ended up becoming
pregnant and that was around the time the commander had to return to the war.
When he got back to the front he missed her every day. He used to write her
letters every chance he could get. He went back to the hospital to visit her
secretly. He took her on her very last date, he took her to a horse race. They
placed bets on horses and their horse didn’t win and they thought it was set
up. They later met with their friends at the horse arena and they had somehow
found out about Catherine being pregnant. The commander was very scared. This was
a very good book. I enjoyed it greatly. I would defiantly recommend it to
another student.

The last book I read was called "three cups of tea" it was a 300 page book that was first introduced to me by my English teacher Ms. Oberlander. It was a hard read I will not lie, but it was one of the best books I ever read. It was about a man who climbed a mountain K2 the second tallest mountain in the world. He climbed the mountain in honor of his sister. When he finished his climb he went to Pakistan and there he found a village and this village has many kids but had no school. he promised the elder in the village to make the school. he made the school and he gave all the kids a place to learn. Without education you have nothing. i really enjoyed this book not only because its setting was where im from but also for the message it sends. this book shows with motivation and determination you can do anything you set your mind too. if i had to take notes on this i would use a timeline or cornell notes because there are so many events taken place in this novel. i would definitely recommend this book to another student or even an adult. i wish i didnt read this book so i could witness it all over again.
